BACK TO EUROPE
IT HAD BEEN 3 YEARS SINCE A BIG TRIP AND THE LAST BEFORE THE PANDEMIC!
Somewhere in Frankfurt
I thought the trip would be interesting and that there would be a lot to do. Maybe there was but I just hadn’t researched and I was burnt out from teaching. This trip was winter vacation 2019 and I was meeting up with a Peace Corps friend who is also a lawyer. She was feeling a totally different burnt out.
My mom would also like me to mention, I wanted to go to Germany and Frankfurt in particular because it’s one of the place she attended school overseas. Unfortunately, the school closed in the 80s.
One of the other reasons I wanted to go to Germany is because I am a bit of a WWII buff, but don’t ask me any facts. I do like reading about the topics and watching films. It was cool to go to the country where so much happened that changed the world but now as I read and learn about so many other countries it reminds me that I know nothing about history, FOR REAL and so much has happened around the world. I just need to find those books to read the stories.
